Before Clayesmore, I thought leadership meant talking louder. After ten days of coaching and a real capstone pitch, I learned it’s about listening, structuring ideas, and backing them with evidence. The small cohort meant constant feedback; by Day 10 I was presenting to UK mentors with a calm I didn’t know I had. I came home with a portfolio, a certificate and a much bigger idea of what I can do.
Grade 8, Summer 2023 Cohort
The Clayesmore Leadership & Social Immersion is a high-attention residential program in Dorset for Grades 8–12, built to develop confident communicators and collaborative problem-solvers. Students rotate through Leadership & Social Innovation labs, public speaking and storytelling clinics, and mentored team sprints to frame real-world challenges and build evidence-backed solutions. Campus life adds structure and confidence through boarding routines, sport and clubs, with a guided Oxford University tour, a curated London learning weekend, and a local Dorset heritage visit to widen cultural context.
Outcomes are clear and measurable: confidence, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and a portfolio-ready capstone deck assessed with rubrics, plus a co-branded certificate. Safeguarding includes DBS-cleared staff, ~1:10 adult to student ratio, separate boarding, risk-assessed activities, medical access, and daily parent updates. The fee typically includes accommodation and meals (veg/veg-friendly), workshops, mentoring, guided Oxford tour, London day, Dorset excursion, local transfers, insurance, visa coordination, and airport transfers; international airfare, Visa and personal expenses are excluded.
